In this episode, Ben Truebood interviews Adam Bennett, student pastor at Bayou View Baptist Church on the importance of expository preaching in student ministry.
About Ben Trueblood
Ben serves as the Director of Student Ministry for Lifeway Christian Resources and has served the local church as a student pastor for fourteen years. In addition to his role at Lifeway, Ben is involved in training, consulting, and speaking to student ministries throughout the U.S.
He is driven by a desire for student ministries to expand God’s Kingdom, to see the lives of students transformed by the gospel, and to produce students who shape the culture in which they live.
Ben and his wife Kristen have four young children. In his free time Ben enjoys family, fishing, hunting, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

About Adam Bennett
Adam is a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He earned a Bachelor of Science with concentrations in Communication, Counseling, and Religion from Mississippi State University. While at MSU, Adam interned with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) for two years. With Cru, Adam made disciples on campus and on summer missions to Panama City Beach, FL and Salerno, Italy.
In 2007, Bayou View Baptist Church called Adam to be their Pastor to Students. He earned a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2015.
At Bayou View, Adam passionately preaches the Word of God to the students and the congregation and loves building up believers through one-to- one and group discipleship. He also developed and leads Baptist Campus Ministry at Gulfport High School, which trains and provides a platform for students to preach God’s Word to other students. Adam married his wife, Becky, in November of 2014. They enjoy movies, football, their beagle, and their church family.
