It’s hard to believe that this shift in the way we do ministry (and all of life, really) started almost four months ago in the spring. I think we probably all imagined we would be on the other side of it by the time the season changed.
I’ve been so encouraged by how many of you I’ve seen working harder than ever to adjust your expectations as you continue to pivot and innovate to continue serving students and their families well in a world of ever-changing restrictions and rules.
This week’s Student Ministry That Matters episode poses four questions to ask yourself this summer in order to stay on track. I want to share those four questions with you here but also invite you to watch the video to hear why these questions are important right now—there’s a lot more under the surface than it seems.
- What can I learn right now that’s relevant or unique to the culture of 2020?
- How can I connect with students?
- When will I rest?
- What will my state of mind be as I look toward fall?
