Here’s a game to play with your students this week!
Equipment
Each group will need a hand full of marshmallows and a hand full of spaghetti.
Objective
Using only the materials provided the groups attempt to build the BEST structure as possible within time allowed. They may be creative in their construction methods.
Debriefing and Spiritual Application
This is great for defining BEST, most of us will compare ourselves to each other and our churches to another, however God simply ask for our BEST and that is not defined by looking at others. Everyone and every church are unique, just like each structure is unique. God makes snowflakes, fingerprints and even each of you unique.
Applications
The obvious application for this activity is the biblical story of the tower of Babel in Genesis 11:1-9. We make many attempts to reach God, but, in reality, He is always near. Christ says, “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matt. 28:20b.)
